What ten days? (Less than) ten minutes!
I can never begin with the Ten Days Sherlock challenge.
Day 1: favourite male character
Day 2: favourite female character
Day 3: favourite episode of series one
Day 4: favourite episode of series two
Day 5: favourite scene
Day 6: favourite Sherlock quote
Day 7: favourite John quote
Day 8: favourite actor
Day 9: favourite actress
Day 10: whatever tickles your fancy (eg a post Reichenbach hope, head canon, favourite ship)
All of the episodes and characters are so good I can’t even choose my favorite! Alright. Quick thinking!
1. John Watson (sorry, Sherlock, sorry sorry sorry but he’s right, you’re rude and such an annoying dick all the time).
2. Mrs. Hudson (how can you put up with these bachelors, how?). Do you know that Mrs. Hudson in Doyle’s is not as cool and all-motherly as she is in the BBC Sherlock? It’s a character that is grown out of the real relationship between Benedict Cumberbatch and Una Stubbs (who plays Mrs. Hudson). Stubbs is a friend of Benedict’s mother. The actor once says that he practically considers Stubbs as his mother. As Steven Moffat recalls, “Benedict is giving her hugs and kisses all the time”, so they decided to put it in the writing.
3. The Great Game.
4. A Scandal in Belgravia (although there are too many cute Johnlock moments in the Hounds).
5. “Shame on you, John Watson. Mrs. Hudson leave Baker Street? England would fall!” — although I must say that Martin Freeman shows his pure excellence in the last fifteen minutes of the Reichenbach Fall.
6. “I’ve always assumed that love is a dangerous disadvantage. Thank you for the final proof.”
7. “Fuck you I won a BAFTA.” JK. “One more miracle, Sherlock, for me. Don’t. Be. Dead. Would you do that, just for me. Stop this.”
8. Benedict Cumberbatch (a fangirl must stay true) (just think of the amount of deduction he must memorize, his script is probably twice as much as everyone else in the series) (sorry, Andrew & Martin, sorry, but I’ve said it many times, you’re brilliant! xx).
9. Lara Pulver. Saw her in a different light after hearing the commentary, she’s so funny during the naked scene (“There’s this moment where Martin Freeman can’t look at my boobs and I can’t continue to my scene until he does, so I’m like, go Martin Freeman! I’m gonna make you do this!”) and the new year scene (“The whole scene is about the bus. I would just stand there at the end of the road and yell, BUSSSS!”). Charmed.
10. Mycroft. I wanna see more of his brilliance please please, not to mention it’s Mark Gatiss! <3
THERE!
